Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming senior students from the Ecotourism program at Colegio Agropecuario de San Carlos for an educational field trip focused on learning about the operations of a sustainable hotel dedicated to eco-friendly practices, environmental conservation, and responsible tourism in Costa Rica.
Learning Surrounded by Nature and Biodiversity
Located within a private nature reserve with breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano, our lodge provides the perfect setting for educational experiences centered around ecotourism, birdwatching, sustainability, rainforest conservation, and environmental education in Costa Rica.
During their visit, students explored scenic rainforest trails, discovered the rich biodiversity of the Arenal region, and learned about the sustainable practices that are part of the hotel’s daily operations. They also had the opportunity to observe different bird species and better understand the importance of protecting the ecosystems that make La Fortuna one of the top nature destinations in Costa Rica.
