The Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa is an eco-lodge entrenched in nature. Surrounded by the Arenal Volcano National Park in Costa Rica, and in between the Guanacaste and Tilarán Mountain Ranges, it is an area of incredible geological and ecological diversity. The union of mountainous terrain and abundance of water that exists at the lodge creates the perfect conditions for the formation of waterfalls.Anyone who has visited the Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa can tell you about our most well-known waterfall, the Danta Waterfall.

Only 15 minutes away from reception, this impressive waterfall attracts dozens of visitors daily. But did you know that the Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa also has trails to visit three other waterfalls on the property? For two of these three lesser-known falls, the timing of your visit is very important. They can only be seen immediately following or during periods of extended rain. The last of these three other waterfalls is a permanent feature but much less known due to its relative distance from reception.

For your next visit to our lodge, don’t be wary of exploring the further reaches of our property. With so much diversity to discover, it is best to leave no stone unturned!
